New York (Monitoring Desk) Mouthwash and charcoal toothpaste are used to clean the mouth and teeth, but an expert dentist in New York says that these items are very harmful to the teeth. Dr. Gary Gortola, a dentist, says that these products contain chemicals that damage the teeth and gums.

Dr. Gary said that charcoal toothpaste, if used on a daily basis, increases tooth sensitivity. Apart from this, there is no such benefit of charcoal toothpaste. In the same way, the mouth starts to remain dry with mouthwash, which causes diseases of the teeth and gums.

Dr. Gary said that procedures like metal filings and 'root canals' are also harmful to teeth. Some root canal procedures fail, causing tooth pain, gum inflammation, and an increased risk of infection.

He said that if a root canal procedure is necessary, it should be done by a specialist dentist. Similarly, metal fillings are not a safe treatment. This procedure is especially harmful for pregnant women, children and people suffering from nervous diseases. In this, if a large amount of mercury is used, the patient's sleep may be disturbed and many other disorders may occur.
